This is a pair of vintage Adidas AC 1618 ROM athletic shoes from the 1970s.  They appear to be very rare - the only AC 1618 shoes that I could find were made in France, whereas this pair was made in Canada.  They come with their original box, which is marked as a size 11 - please read further below for specific measurements.  They are pre-owned, but were never used.  The soles demonstrate no wear, the insoles and laces are very clean as are the uppers.  The insoles have a round glue spot on them, caused by the size label, which is no longer present.  The original price tag was still in the box.  These were bought at Miracle Mart, a Canadian department store founded in 1961 and re-branded as “M” during the mid-1980s.  The price tag reads “$32.99” and is marked as a size 11 - my husband wears a 10 1/2 and they fit him, but were too narrow for his wide foot.  The insole measures 11 3/4” in length while the soles measure 12” in length and have a width of 4” at the widest.  I have a feeling that the original owner bought these or received them as a gift, tried them on, found that they didn’t fit, and didn’t bother to return them.  In any case, a rare pair of Adidas shoes - 1970s era Canadian made AC 1618 ROM athletic shoes!
